[On the parents of her daughter who served as the guardians of her since she was born and raised her until age threedue to our totally differing ages, I was fascinated by the things they were experiencing as kids. Olsen announced in 2022 that Adele Thibodeaux, her partner for five years, had ended her relationship, and she'd been with long-time musician and friendship partner Meg Duffy since 2020. Soon she tapped into a large network of similar artists. Olsen relocated into Chicago from California in 2006. In 2007, she was a member of Emmett Kelly's Cairo Gang. All Mirrors, her previous album released in 2019, was a mix of the dark, gothic sound of synth rock as well as moving forays in orchestral pop. Big Time is the first moment that Olsen sings consciously about her queer wants. Olsen turns her attention to country, a traditionally-bound style. This is logical in some ways.
